Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Bokumonie payment platform ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part, you may not access the Services. Bokumonie is operated by Boku Technologies Ltd., registered in Sierra Leone.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract. By using our Services, you represent that you meet these requirements. Businesses must provide valid registration documents upon request.

3. Payment Services & Fees

Our fees are clearly displayed on the Pricing page. Local transactions (Mobile Money, bank transfers, wallets) are charged 1.2% per transaction. International transactions (Visa, Mastercard) are charged 3% per transaction. Fees are deducted before settlement. We may introduce new services with separate fees.

3.1 Settlement

Funds from local transactions are typically settled within 24 hours. International card settlements may take 2–5 business days depending on card networks. Bokumonie is not liable for delays caused by partner banks or schemes.

4. User Obligations

You agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. You may not use the Services for illegal transactions, including fraud, money laundering, or prohibited goods (e.g., narcotics, weapons).

5. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and software used in the Services are owned by Bokumonie or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer any part without written consent.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violations of these Terms or if required by law. You may stop using the Services at any time. Upon termination, you remain liable for any pending transactions and fees.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bokumonie shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 12 months prior to the claim.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sierra Leone. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Freetown, Sierra Leone.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
